Charles and Thirza Aldrich papers, 1850s-1906.

This collection consists of correspondence, miscellaneous documents and ephemera. Some of the correspondence relates to Aldrich's autograph collecting activities. Of special note are two letters from Varina Davis, wife of Jefferson Davis, and a letter from William M. Rossetti. Correspondence of a political nature includes letters from James Harlan, James F. Wilson and William Boyd Allison. The collection also includes one file related to Agnes Briggs Olmstead, a pioneer teacher from Hamilton County.
